    i) Samuel Marryott ii) Edmund Greene Thomas Spicer alias Helder, late of Marston, gentleman, by deed of 31 July 38 Elizabeth [1596] assigned to Richard Rolfe, late of Kempston, husbandman, and John Spicer of Bedford, tanner, 40 acres land belonging to a farm in Kempston, in tenure of Thomas Maynard, and which were demised by John Inger, Wootton, gentleman, to said Thomas Spicer, by deed of 10 February 32 Elizabeth [1590] for 2,000 years Said premises had been purchased by John Inger from Thomas Bedells, whose father bought them from Thomas Russell, and which were sometime copyhold of Thomas Snagge Property was afterwards partitioned between Richard Rolfe and John Spencer [?Spicer] by deed of 19 March 39 Elizabeth [1597] On 14 April [1624] Thomas Spicer conveyed to John Marriott, 6 acres land in Kempston, for remainder of said term of 2,000 years John Peirson of Kempston, on 15 April 18 Charles I [1642] leased to John Marriott, 2 sellions arable in Long Budden in Kempston, and 1 sellion at Elstow Cross Richard Peirson senior, by deed of 22 March 4 James I [1607] demised to William Peirson one pightle with cottage on it and 5 acres arable and 1 rood meadow, in Kempston By deed of 20 April 24 James I [sic] between Richard Peirson of Kempston (executor of Ann Peirson alias Inskip, who was administratrix of William Peirson), and said John Marriott, Richard Peirson demised to John Marriott, 5 sellions arable in common fields of Kempston now in consideration of £50 paid to i) by ii) i) assigns to ii) - all leases involved, terms of years, claims to premises etc. signature of i) endorsed witnesses: Simon Urlin, Robert Perrot, J A Hartshorne
