    The postmark is FIELD POST OFFICE C.9 (allocated 9th Cavalry Brigade) and the addressee is 'Mrs Ladds The Post Office Tempsford Sandy Beds' and the message reads 'Expeditionary Force France Aug 11 1915 Just a P.C. to let you know I am well. Hope this will find you all the same. From Yours Etc. A.S.' The writer has headed the card 'On active Service'. The card has been submitted to the Paris Press Bureau for censorship (ie. 'Vise Paris 935') and the censor's mark, a triangle with the words 'PASSED BY CENSOR No. 1339' is stamped over the message.
