To Rowland Alston of legacy under father's will, with undertaking to pay one-third of nephew's claim if allowed by courts. [Recites will of Sir Rowland Alston of Odell, baronet, leaving £7,000 after death of wife Temperance among younger children: Mary, Crew, Rowland, Horatio, St John, Elizabeth and Vere John, chargeable on lands left to eldest son Thomas. The only survivors are Rowland, Elizabeth and Vere John (each £2,333) but William Selby, widower and executor of Mary is claiming for her son Thomas James]. Witnesses: Susanna Brady, Edward Money.
