Scope and Content
To wife Dorothy Aspinall £60 within 12 months after my death;
To kinsman Sleep Dearman of Offley, Herts £30 after death of my wife;
To the children of my kinsman William Dearman deceased £10 after the death of my wife;
To the children of Thomas Tuffland late of Hitchen, deceased £10 after the death of my wife;
To my kinsman James Aspinal of Abbersley, Hunts £20 and to his sister Jane Aspinal £5 within a year of my death;
I give all my estate and holding in Africa Stock with interest to my wife Dorothy and kinsman James Aspinal equally between them;
To children of James Fann late of Yelling, deceased £5 a piece after the death of my wife;
To children of Joseph Shefferson of Eynsbury deceased £5 a piece after the death of my wife;
To my sister Pye of Enysbury and to her son William Pye £5 each after death of my wife;
To my cousin Frances Bull of Eynsbury £30 after death of my wife;
To my executors and heirs for ever land in Great Barford purchased of Mr Perring and containing by estimation 20 acres of arable, 3 1/2 acres of meadow, to sell in order to pay legacies, etc., and then to invest the remainder for the use of my wife for her life, then to pay remainder of legacies.
To the protestant dissenting congregation that have their meeting house at St Neots, Hunts £10 after death of my wife;
Executors: Sleep Dearman and Thomas Hubbard of Muggerhanger, Blunham, malster, to whom probate was granted.
If on death of my wife, money arising insufficient to meet legacies then due, the legacies are to be abated proportionally.
To executors £10 each.
Surplus to be distribted among poor of Protetant Dissenting Congregation at Blunham, who are to have £2 on my death.
To kinswoman Dorothy Larkins of Cardington, £20 on death of my wife.
