- Scope and ContentParties: (i) Alfred James Perkins of Dunstable, draper, the Reverend Henry John Perkins of Eversley Lodge, Southampton, independent minister, and Frederick William Plummer of Luton, straw hat manufacturer (ii) Asher John Hucklesby of Luton, straw hat manufacturer (iii) Oliver Stevens of Cardigan Street, blockmaker Reciting: - (i) were appointed executors under the will of Arthur Smart dated 29 June 1896 and were entrusted with the sale of the estate after the decease of the testator's wife Ruth - Arthur Smart died 4 January 1903 and his will was proved in the Northampton District Registry on 23 February 1903 - Ruth Smart died 20 March 1897 - (i) have contracted with (ii) for the sale to him but no conveyance has yet been made and (ii) has since contracted a sale to (iii) Operative part: (i) to convey to (iii) at the request of (ii) for £395 with an additional £10 being paid to (ii) Property: (a) land on the N side of Collingdon Street in Luton bounded on the S by Collingdon Street with a frontage of 17ft 4inches adn on the W by the property of William Beeson and on the N by the Great Northern Railway and on the E by a messuage late of Thomas Smart but now of Nelly Beatrice Lacey (b) the messuage with the blockhouse, barn etc at the rear erected by Arthur Smart now in the occupation of John Horsley and known as 46 Collingdon Street subject to a shared passageway with the neighbouring property Witnesses: - Richard Edward Cooke of Luton, solicitor - Edward W.
