    Walter Rawlinson of the Temple, London and George Wombwill (else Wombwell) of 'Crutched Fryers', London, merchant, and his wife Susanna (which Walter Rawlinson and Susanna Wombwill are nephew and niece and also legatees named in the will of Susanna Astry, wife of the Reverend Francis Astry, late of Woodend, D.D. deceased) Recitals That Susanna Astry in her will gave £1,000 and interest, standing out in a trustee's name for her separate use and disposal upon a security affecting some part of her husband Francis Astry's estate, as follows: the interest which should be due at her decease and the interest which should accrue at any time afterwards during her husband's life, she gave to him for his proper use and benefit, he paying the pecuniary legacies and duly observing the specific bequests respectively if any such should be directed in writing under the hand and seal of the testatrix; the principal of the said sum of £1,000 she directed at the decease of her said husband to go and be divided in such manner as she should direct etc. and in default thereof to her husband Francis for his own proper use and benefit and thereby constituted and appointed her husband the sole executor who proved the same and took upon himself the burthen of execution thereof 26 Apr 1755 That Susanna Astry in the codicil to her will gave part of the £1,000 to several charities, which have been paid, and with regard to the £500 which remained, she disposed of it as follows: to Walter Rawlinson and Susanna Wombwill to be equally divided betwixt them over and above their legacies in her will 2 May 1755 That Francis Astry is since dead having made his will, 2 October 1761 and constituted and appointed Fairmedow Penyston of Cornwell (Oxfordshire), esquire, sole executor thereof who has proved the same and taken upon himself the burthen of execution thereof Present deed Quitclaim (remise, release, and quitclaim and discharge) by the party to this deed (in consideration of £500 paid them by Fairmedow Penyston being in full for all legacies, sum(s) of money given and bequeathed to them in and by the will and codicil of Susanna Astry) of all their estate, right, title, interest, use, trust, benefit, profit, property, claim and demand of and in the real estates of Francis Astry deceased, at the time of his death and all manner of action(s) etc. Receipted and signed by each of the party; and witnessed by John Murray and John Hart Dorse: sealed and delivered before the same witnesses (receipt by the party acknowledging receipt of £8..10s..10d in full for interest of the £500 from 30 October [1766] to the present day)
