    Grant by Beatrix once the daughter of Roger Richer to John de Bray of Sivelisho [Silsoe] for his service and for 5 marks ... her messuage in the village of Sivelisho with houses, building, hedges, ditches, as it lies between messuage of Ralph de Fonte on South and messuage of Richard the merchant on the other side; abutting one end westward on the garden of Ralph son of Richard, and other end on king's highway to hold of Ralph son of Richard the capital lord of the fee, and his heirs, and paying each year to Ralph 12d (6d at Michaelmas & 6d at Ladyday) and paying to donor a clove by way of warranty "Warancie" at Christmas for all other services and demands, saving one farthing to Ralph and his heirs for foreign service each year.
