  • Scope and Content
Sending copy of a letter from Mr Arnold. Have received a basket of fish from you last Thursday - it was a great treat being very very fresh. I do not know whether the £25 draft you sent last week was intended for me as I begged you to send me that sum when convenient to answer the Christmas demands. However, I was obliged to take £5 on the nursery account, and the other for myself. I shall be glad of more money when you can send it down. Mr Cardale of Millbrook called today to ask if you wanted Meadow Fox Tail Grass seed. Left it to you to give him the times' price, Have written a line to Mrs Gibbs about the wine - am rather afraid of it if it has not more sugar 3 Mar 1825 Copy letter from R Arnold of Ampthill: This day have been over Red Hill Farm. The land and sward both useful for grazing or the dairy. The homestall not good. They say 160 acre of sward, the greater part under-drained and farmed well. 50 acres in Toddington parish; 22 acres in Westoning common field. If your friend can take it at offered price I think it very cheap. endorsed with note of contents
