- Scope and ContentHeaded: "Old Rectory, Scruton, Northallerton, Yorkshire, DL7 0QZ, Kirby Fleetham 272 0609 84 272" "Dear Miss Grimmer, Many thanks for your letters and the magazines. I must apologise for not writing sooner - I seem to have been terribly busy. I've just returned to Scruton after a two week visit to Kingsgate. I went to finish the cleaning and the clearing up. It's been quite a job. However I shall look forward to having more of a holiday next time I go. I was pleased to hear you thought 25 chairs would be a reasonable start to the scheme. Mr Sturman was happy with the number too. Now I will wait until you select a chair, but I would be interested to have some details of it and a picture when you do. I am sorry to hear you have been ill and I hope that you are quite fit again now. As you say there have been a number of virus illnesses around - some of them difficult to shake off. The weather doesn't help either. We seem to be having hot days followed by very cold days so one just doesn't know what to wear. We are constantly turniing our heating on and off. We have our Church fete here on 27th June, so we are busy making preparations for that. The Ladies' Sewing Party are very industrious and hoping to have a good stall. Again, thank you for your letters. Yours sincerely, Anne George" [Notes written on the letter: "Postmark May 29th, received May 30th, answered June 9th, wrote again 9/9/73"]
