Scope and Content
The Prize agent who was set by Mr Rose to examine into abuses was Hancock: he is £2,000 out of pocket; he devoted his whole time to it, especially the 5% due to Greenwich Hospital. He has found £5,000,000 wrongfully remained in agents' hands, not as belonging to the Hospital, but also to officers & men. The Hospital Governors are so ashamed of their slackness that they are trying to get the matter hushed up.
