    Copy of Court Roll, Manor of Leighton Buzzard alias Grovebury View of Frankpledge with Court Baron (of the Reverend Theophilus Leigh Cooke and Sir Edward Hyde East bart. trustees for Right Honourable Chandos Lord Leigh Baron Leigh of Stoneleigh, Warwickshire farmer to Dearn and Canons of Queens Free Chapel of St George, Windsor) before Thomas Hill Mortimer, gentleman, steward. Admission: i) Charles Reeve of Leighton Buzzard, common brewer, by James Woodman of Leighton Buzzard, gentleman, his attorney on surrender of ii) Jonathon Barrett late of Northampton Square, Middlesex, iron founder, then of Croydon, Surrey, esquire (devisee in fee in trust for sale appointed by codicil to will of Samuel Reeve late of Leighton Buzzard, formerly grocer, late common brewer, deceased) Mary Reeve of Leighton Buzzard, widow, relict of said Samuel entitled to dower from c.h. estate of said Samuel considered: £18 -parcel of land in Heath and Reach in Leighton Buzzard, ½ acre as fenced out, in occupation i) part of allotmernt under Enclosure, to said Samuel Reeve, described in Award as: -plot in North Field 8 acres 3 rods 22 poles : North Holyhead Road : South, East, and South West allotment of William Hedges and Thomas Tame : West Woburn Road to which i) and ii) were admitted tenants at Court Baron 31 October and 1 November 1844; ii) as devisee in trust to such part of said allotment as with other hereditaments was surrendered to use of said Samuel by William Tame but to which Samuel had not been admissioned by time of death; and is as only son and heir of Samuel to part of said allotment as was surrendered to use of said Samuel by Thomas Sayell and Joseph Cook and BenjaminPerrin and wife Mary but to which Samuel had not been admissioned by time of death. rest of plot has been sold to Eleanor Bailey of Hockliffe, widow and by i) and ii) surrendered to her use surrendered out of court: 19 February 1846 date of court: 4 & 5 June 1846
