His financial affairs (see also W1/1170-1186). Is ready for India if wanted. Lord St John's vagaries; he would be better in Botany Bay, only he would not be allowed the honour of sitting among such respectable & clever people as are there now. All is quiet, as also is Spithead. Sir E Hamilton dismissed for tying up the gunner & his crew during a hard frost because the screws of the carronades were not bright enough.
