Legend continues "Sculpture by Josephina De Vaconcellos". Stamped with a 4d stamp and franked "BROADSTAIRS, KENT 25 Mar 1970". "Arrived last Friday, and am busy settling in. Masses of letters etc. We returned via Dublin (which I was glad to see) and Liverpool, where I stayed overnight to see the two cathedrals. I liked this group, S.Joseph unusually young and with Beatle haircut. The R.C. cathedral is a marvellous creation in blue and green stained glass reflected in a white marble floor. Unfortunately my friend Laurie Brown was translated to Birmingham last December so we missed each other. Happy Easter! Mrs V. wrote to tell me of Valder's death. J.H."
