- Scope and ContentAdmits that she is a lover of Gaiety, “so true a friend to it that I would wish to preserve a mind, which being easy in itself should be open to every proper occasion of cheerfulness”. Thanks `Mousseline la Serieuse' for her “friendly packet and her congratulations”, [on her marriage in 1748 to George, Baron Anson, admiral (1697-1762)]. She writes, “when one has moved in one small sphere, one cannot help feeling as many alarms upon stepping out of it, as if it were a magic Circle.” Sends thanks for the letter enclosed in her last letter.
