    Probate of will of Ambrose Whitbread of Eversholt, yeoman of 5 August 1691 “being in good health”; - devising to his son Benjamin a messuage in Berry End, Eversholt in occupation of John Gregory the elder with close, Malthouse and appurtenances; three roods of sweard in Copmore, Eversholt formerly purchased from William Gregory; two roods of arable in Copmore Field on Ashwell Furlong formerly purchased from Ambrose Reddall the younger, gentleman; two half acres of arable lying together in Stonehill Field abutting on Woburn Way and land of Thomas Hillersdon, esquire one side and John Gregory the other; one rood in Stonehill Field abutting on Martin More with land of William Gregory one side and Thomas Hillersdon the other; half acre between land of Ambrose Reddall the elder and John Gregory the younger; three roods shooting on Leicester Headland between land of George Gregory and Town Land; two roods in West Field on Runley Furlong abutting close of Thomas Hillersdon with land of John Gregory one side and glebe the other; one rood between land of Thomas Hillersdon and George Gregory; one rood between land of John Gregory and glebe; half acre abutting headland of Ambrose Reddall the younger with land of George Gregory both sides; two roods on Ashpitts Furlong with glebe one side and land late Barnes the other; two lands containing three roods abutting into Stivington Slade and upon land of Ambrose Reddall the elder with land of Thomas Hillersdon one side and George Whittamore the other; - devising to his son Benjamin leasehold land: one acre of sweard in Copmore Field purchased from Vincent adjoining sweard purchased from William Gregory; half acre in Copmore adjoining land of William Rowberd and Thomas Hillersdon; three acres of leasehold on Ashwell Furlong being one both sides the two roods purchased from Ambrose Reddall; half acre in Stonehill Field abutting on Woburn Way being near Fosters, land of John Symon one side ; one acre on Greenway Hill Furlong in West Field between land of Ambrose Reddall the younger and Ezekiell Houghton; - devising the residue of his real estate to his eldest son William; - bequeathing to his son Benjamin all household goods and all malt and malting materials; - devising to his son Benjamin the unexpired term off his leasehold properties in Trusloe Hills, Woburn held from the Earl of Bedford; - constituting son William sole executor and bequeathing the residue of his personal estate to him and charging him with payment to testator’s daughter Sarah £150 with interest at 5% per annum from the time of testator’s death to the time of payment and £60 to Benjamin; - bequeathing 20/- each to his daughter Elizabeth Gibbs and granddaughters Hannah and Elizabeth Gibbs; - bequeathing 1/- to his son Stephen, having already settled a portion on him; - witnesses: Mary Topping; - Richard Andrew, by mark; - Ambrose Reddall
