    Parties: (i) Thomas Richardson of Bedford, innholder and James Bradley of Bedford, grocer (ii) Elizabeth Weale of Bedford, widow and relict of William Weale, deceased (iii) Martha Lambe of Bedford, widow, formerly Martha Sawyer, and Martha Pimlott of Clophill, widow, both executrices to the will of the late Martha Leith of Bedford, widow (iv) William Smith the elder of Harleston in Norfolk, clerk, and William Smith the younger of Bedford, clerk Reciting: - William Weale bequeathed (a)-(i) to (i) in his will of 29 January 1746 [1747] to be held in trust for sale with the proceeds going to redeem the mortgage with £100 of the remainder being paid to (ii) and any additional moneys to his daughter Elizabeth Wells, widow - At the death of William Weale some or all of (a) – (i) were mortgaged for £300 by both an assignment of mortgage of 15 November 1738 between (1) Peter Johnson of Elstow, gentleman, son and administrator of the estate of Henry Johnson (2) William Weale and Elizabeth his wife (3) Martha Leith and by mortgage of 28 March 1745 between (1) William Weale and (2) Robert Lambe and Martha his wife of Bedford, clerk, and Martha Pimlott (Martha Leith being trustee of the marriage settlement of William Smith the elder and Frances his wife and holding the £300 for investment); the £300 and unpaid interest now amount to £370 or more Operative Part: (i) conveys to (iv) for £12 12s with the consent of (ii) and (iii) Property: (a) alehouse formerly called The Harpsicord but now known as The Sun in the parish of St Pauls, Bedford in the occupation of Jane Hayes, spinster, between the Red Lyon and the tenement now occupied by Joseph Freelove, formerly by Thomas Britton (b) tenement at the bottom of the lower yard belonging to (a), formerly occupied by Charles Butcher but since by Mark Talbot and Thomas Russell (c) the empty dwelling house formerly occupied by William Weale, standing in the second or lower yard of (a) with the garden and summerhouse therein (d) brewhouse occupied by Samuel Freelove but formerly by William Weale (e) tenement on the north side of Mill Lane lately occupied by Mary Campion, widow, and now by Thomas Pridmore (f) tenement adjoining (e) and occupied by --- Eagles (g) tenement on Mill Lane occupied by Mary West, spinster (h) toft or parcel of ground in Cotton End in the parish of St Nicholas in Warwick now or lately in the occupation of William Bromage, gardener (i) Lamas Close adjoining (h) near St Nicholas Meadow in Warwick (a) – (g) formerly purchased by William Weale from Sir John Mordaunt Barrcourt in 1695 Witnesses: - Henry Horton - Griffith Morgan
