Thanks for his letters, which continue to cause amusement. Refers to his request for credit, which has been fulfilled, and other financial affairs, including purchasing a dinner service. Other news of a violent storm in January, which broke windows, felled trees, and took off roof tiles. Also mentions an abundance of hares, partridges and pheasants at Newby Hall and Askrigg. Whilst in London attended the theatre and two parties, but found the opera poor. Regrets to inform him of Mrs Buller’s painful death.
