Col Villiers Stuart has spoken to Mrs Stuart, who has no objection to a new verandah, installation of radiators, provision of a fire hydrant and altering of the standpipe, providing no claim for improvements is made against the Estate. Mrs Hamilton replies that no claim will be made against the Estate for the improvements in question. Is awaiting contractors to carry out the necessary landlord's repairs. Wishes to convert an old cow shed to form a second garage; this will involve cutting down a tree. Permission for this work is granted, again providing that no claim for improvements is made against the Estate.
