Reciting that lands in Kempston in the occupation of widow Carter were seised into king's hand 3 October 6 James I 1608 by Sir Thomas Snagge, then sheriff, to pay 10s per annum for a debt of 40s upon Thomas Fitzwilliam, esquire's … during the minority of William Carter for an annual rent or tenth issuing out of a messuage and diverse lands in Kempston at 6s..8d a year unpaid for six years ending in 6 Queen Elizabeth Order on request of Mary Carter, widow of William Carter now tenant of lands, that the 40s be put on executors of receiver and that widow Carter's lands be discharged
