Col. Staurt would like possession of the cottage to extend the neighbouring Post Office, which will shortly have telegraph and telephone; offers Miss Brown another cottage on the estate [Church End]. 1905. Complaints from neighbours, including Joseph Sims, regarding Miss Brown's behaviour. 1908. Further complaints regarding Miss Brown's behaviour; Joseph Sims moving to cottage previously occupied by Cunnington - a relief to be away from Miss Brown; letters from Lucy Brown; notice given for Miss Brown to vacate the cottage; unable to vacate as cannot find alternative accommodation; further complaints. 1915-1917. Note; several letters from, and addressed to, Sarah Brown, sister of Lucy, in County Wicklow, Ireland.
