… all that his messuage with appurtenances and 15 acres of land and half an acre of meadow with appurtenances in Barford once of John Pyers alias Chamberleyn afterwards of Joan Holwey late of Coupull, widow, afterwards of James Mathewe, late of Barford, deceased messuage is situated in Barford between the messuage of said John Wylshire, East, land of George FitzJeffrey, gentleman, West, abutting North on a land called Lugborowe Lane, abutting South on footpath called Churchepathe 15 acres land and half acre meadow lie scattered in parish of Barford which messuage and land I had by grant of John Woodward and wife Joan as can be seen in final concord made in court of Philip and Mary late King and Queen at Westminster Easter 1 and 2 of their reign to hold to John and Elizabeth for the life of the survivor, then to Elizabeth Wilshire, daughter of John and Elizabeth and her heirs, in default to right heirs of John Wylshire
