Tell Mrs. Aislabie. Lady Katherine [Pelham?] has given up Lord Ossory's house, the taking of which would have been a sad thing. The Virys expecting their letters of recall tomorrow. Mr. Juhl had his Audiences. The Russians are expected this month and a French Embassador and his Lady on their way to Portugal; Monsieur & Madame de Clermont. Met them there when they first arrived, Grantham fell asleep during his singing, exhausted after the journey. Fortunately the Satyre fell upon de Clermont's singing rather than Grantham's snoring. Plans of house, will send. May make a trip to Toledo. Dance called ‘Vauxhall’ currently being performed, Fabrice danced her hornpipe in it. Lighting up well done, Pantomime part excellent but the best dancer dances a bad Minuet. Writing to Lady Pelham. Great dinner for 14 for the Duke de Losada tomorrow. Using Staffordshire Ware only, no China.
