    (bequests (mainly monetary) to: daughter Sarah Loyd (wife of Richard Loyd); John and Thomas Loyd (sons of Richard Loyd), daughter Elizabeth Bristow (wife of Timothy Bristow), Timothy, Thomas and Elizabeth Bristow (children of Timothy Bristow), daughter Jane Sheppard (wife of Thomas Sheppard), and William and Richard Sheppard (sons of Thomas Sheppard). Devises to said William and Richard Sheppard all his real estate in Weston (county Hertfordshire). And to John Rowley (son of daughter Mary Rowley, deceased), his 2 cottages in Silsoe, in occupation of George Willmore and Ann Millward. (Further bequests to nephew Christopher Bishop and niece Hannah Fox, and to the afore-mentioned persons, of money and one sixteenth part of the ships "William" (master: Captain Glendes), and "The New Industry" (master: Captain Wigg)). Executors: sons-in-law Richard Loyd and Thomas Sheppard, and daughter Elizabeth Bristow Witnesses: Joannah Fletcher, John Beaumont and Robert Parker [Codicil, dated 22 Apr 1758; whereby he devises to Ruth Howes, the house in Silsoe in which John Parker, butcher, lives.
