    Sir Joshua Reynold's promise to finish picture of the little children next week. Gibbon, new Lord of Trade, kissed the King’s Hand this morning. Lord Carlisle has not resigned, saw him with his staff at Court. It is thought he is to have Lord Talbot's place who will go out on a pension. Lord Charles Spencer is out of the Admiralty, not certain he will succeed Carlisle. Secretary of State seems to lay between Lord Hilsborough and Mr. Wedderburne. Latter may be provided for by the resignation of Lord Chief Justice De Grey and also that Lord Mansfield will leave the King's Bench for Sir Fletcher Norton. Speculation about where Grantham will arrive and Fritz's plans to meet him. Duke of Ancaster dangerously ill. Lord Bolingbroke’s total recovery.
