Received Therese's drawing of the Green house, prettier than he expected. Mr. Parker has a return of his disorder. Pleased with good account of Tom and Harry [Pelham]. Mr. Mallocks, wire dancer and conjurer . Has been at St. Petersburg, brought Grantham a letter from Sir George Macartney. Doesn't see of what service they can be to him. Gala last Wednesday very full. Masserano is feeling very weak, not sure if he returns to England. Assumes Mr. de Guignes does not. Lady Barrymore's death in papers. Assume London quiet as papers abominably stupid recently. Not surprized Nanny not wishing to be at Saltram whilst they were receiving all the county visits. Sardinian Embassador expected next month. New Nuncio arrives at same time. Waiting to hear of the `San Joseph` which brings the Staffordshire Ware to Bilbao. The Parkers are sending some rum. Did they receive the wine?
