    Anxiety about Lady Mary’s fall, she is now bedridden. Lady Sydney is at Windsor, Lady Mary does not wish her to come [to London]. A. Robinson wants her to come as there is no one else in Town to be with Lady Mary besides herself; she writes a daily bulletin to Lady Sydney. If Lady Mary “was not within a month of 96 I should be better satisfied”. Needs to spend more time with Mrs Villiers as she is anxious about Therese getting the measles from Edward as soon as possible that it may be over before she is confined herself. Lady Boringdon has written to say she is in hourly expectation of a “Mishap”. Last heard from Malling that Lady Emily was better but far from well. Lady Chichester low and fidgety as Emily not recovering fast enough. Sophia Gomm still very ill. Dowager Lady Grantham confined with one of her bad colds. Awaiting Mrs Villiers carriage to take her to South Place.
