  • Title
Memorial of Alexander Lee and Frederick Polhill to the Lord Chamberlain, that they have a lease from July for £9,000 per annum of the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane; and have entered into engagements for nearly £50,000 per annum. They are dismayed to learn that Arnold, proprietor of the Lyceum Theatre, which was lately burned down, is attempting to obtain an extension of his licence. Any extension granted to him would be a serious injury to the memorialists
