- Scope and ContentRecites: - By his Will, Thomas Dennis devised all property to his wife Elizabeth for life; following which the leasehold estate in in Tempsford for the remainder of the term of years, and copyhold cottage with appurtenances in Blunham, in the tenures of William Williamson and Joseph Boufield, and freehold cottage, orchard and premises in Gamlingay in occupation of Richard Sage, were devised to son John Dennis; subject to payment of £400 divided between five daughters. Recites: - Harriett Dennis is now the wife of George Rew. - Both Harriett Rew and Susan Dennis have attained the age of 21 years. - the leashold premises remain subject to payment of mortgage of £200 and interest thereon. - no provision was made by the testator to enable the executors or trustees to raise money for payment of legacies to the daughters of Thomas Dennis, and for want of such provision, the sum cannot be raised during the life interest of Elizabeth Dennis. - Elizabeth Dennis has paid Harriett Rew and Susan Dennis the sum of £80 each, being the share of the £400 legacy. - On receipt of payment, Harriett Rew and Susan Dennis assign the legacy to Elizabeth Dennis.
