    At Court yesterday, also Lady Robinson's and Milbanke's. Reception at St. James' gracious as always. Thinks Lord Mulgrave may employ Belwood and Mickle. Lady Robinson couldn't receive him; dressing for dinner. Pelhams uneasy about Chichester Business. The Bishop had decided to interpose his Visitatioral Authority at the request of his Chapter. Unable to attend due to a "fever" incited by a visit from the "D. of B", has since been persuaded to resume it. Lady Pelham had a tooth removed in the autumn. Pelhams all well. Miss Broderick a fine girl. Lord Midleton in poor health. Tom [Pelham] very well, problems with mare. Harry [Pelham] thin and coughing, weak kneed. Led off floor during a Minuet at a Lewes Ball. H. Pelham's boy in pain from abscess on his jaw. Dr. Turton[?] has same complaint and Sneyd something similar. [Later], G. Pelham at home, Tom wild about Yorkshire. Mary Milbanke big enough to appear "almost nubile". Moving into new house. Fritz's visit to Harrowden kindly taken. Campo gave Dinner and Supper yesterday to Lord Carmarthen, Fraser's family and Dr. Jackson's. Grantham called in the evening. Dance and sand, six couples, Grantham lead down Mrs. Fraser in one. Daughter and niece very pretty. Saw the Bowen's at Lady Yorke's, Bowen amazingly like Lord Pelham. Sir Joseph is the pillar of the Committee of Council.
