    Received his from Kirby. Will be glad for his account of Allerton it "being so enclosed". Has been at their Aunt's today and at Kensington. Told the former he was hopeful of doing Richard's business. Children well [at Kensington]. Eldest over his need to be carried since his purging. Sending them a carpet for Frederick to learn to roll on. Lady Grey was there. Grantham now dressed for the Christening. Lady Bell and Lady Yorke go to Court at night. Storer to succeed Maddison according to papers. He had the Secretaryship to the Master of the Ordnance which Tom Steel held under the Duke of Richmond. Delapierre has it from the Casa D'Espana that the Princess of Asturias is brought to bed of twins - both Varones [Princes]. Expects to see the Spaniards at Court tonight.
