His uncle has repeatedly told him that a condition of assistance is that he should petition the Emperor, which should lead to some kind of pension. If this fails his uncle will assist him. His uncle still adheres to this. Writer wishes it was in his power to help. R Sutherland has got through about £6000 which was in the English funds.
