Has writing a great deal. Has been at the Pardo. Rode after dinner to the Torre parada, wretched building, bad pictures, fine views. Assurance of his well being etc....Has written to England by Messenger, will try to give. Frederick hints he will understand. Repeats that they have done right in printing and must persevere with their Plan. Nanny has written and is quite well. Draper has been fitting up the wrong Apartment, will be glad to hear of Frederick's taking possession of it. Note from Fernanunez that he will call and take him to listen to same Musick. From Nanny's letter; Mr. Hawkins and Powlet have received the wine. The little folks [niece and nephew, Therese and Jack Parker] are impatient to see their Uncle. Aunt Jemmy's boys are taken care of by Aunt Stainforth, Sir J. Pennyman and D. Constable. Tom intends to travel after he has embraced Fritz [Frederick]. 24 March 1778. Munro called, hindered Grantham's walking. Made Manuel come after dinner, going to Gazola's tonight. All [Corps] dining at Monmorin's tomorrow. Dining at Florida blanca's on Saturday. Don Rodrigo goes on Thursday, Waddilove has let him have some books; 'Herculaneum' and 'Mr. Gray', Campbell etc.. Longs to hear from him. Wednesday afternoon. Dining at Monmorin's. Gazola's last night. Waddilove writing to him, he is very attentive, much obliged to him. Has many things of J[?], thinks himself fortunate he is not there. Thursday noon 26 [March 1778].
