  • Scope and Content
Surprized to hear that Tom was old enough to have a right to a Chaplin. Agrees to young Mr. Dalton. Referring to Mrs. R's[Robinson's] last kind letter; surprized she believed Miss Cambridge's account of her rather than her own and why she thought Philip only recovering instead of recovered. Discovered she had written after drinking to King William etc... Joking aside she regrets any anxiety they felt on her account. Agrees that Sukey and her husband have behaved abominably to them, something must have made them leave their places. Violent quarrel between Franceson and Bevers. Warning given to latter. Details of incident given. Wants Mrs. R. to find her a Housekeeper. Franceson has written to La Pierre and Secre about his dislike of Bevers' temper. M. Grantham asks for any other advice etc.... Went over his house at Privy Garden yesterday, will answer well but not habitable yet. Mr. Waddilove acknowledged receipt of the six Guineas paid him on her behalf. It was never intended this payment to Charity would be a secret from F. Robinson, merely that she didn't want to trouble him with it. Love to Uncle and Alfred, Lord Boringdon and Ralph from the Boys.
