Glad he has met with Mr. Leys, hope they will soon come to a determination, avoiding Chancery. Sale yesterday, Mr. Pearce sends particulars to Mr. H. Ley, thinks it amounts to about 700£. Made plans to avoid being at the House on the day of the sale. Met Mr. Radcliffe at Maristow who went with Jack to see Lord Buckingham's Mine. Anne and Therese waited at Moristow due to difficulties crossing the water. Dined at Warleigh. Mr. Andrews went to Zeal yesterday about tithes and dilapidations. Jack has an exact routine with him. Jack leaving soon. Sorry to part with him. Never meant to insinuate that she did not intend going to Town when necessary for Therese being there. Wants to see Frederick as well. Very obliged to he and Mrs. Robinson's trouble on her account. Mrs. Chetwynd's place seems very desirable but not Lady Hart's, she is called under Housekeeper in the Red book and only earns 100£ per annum. Will write to Lady Sydney when she knows what she has done. Jack up at 6.30 a.m. to see the Eclipse through smoked glass. Prince William gives a dinner today at 'The Fountain'. Sent for some Fish and Leverets and Carp etc.. Ship dressed out, beautiful from the window. Sorry Harry Pelham seriously ill, hopes Bath will do him good. P.S. Found Frederick's Seal last Saturday.
