Mr Andrewe's list of books enclosed [not present]. Mr Ley gone to Town to procure them for him. Shocking murder at Stoke near Plymouth last Saturday [no other details]. Mr Anscott, Mr Tickles and Dr. Sisum are there. On Wednesday Mr Lloyd and his son, Messrs Elford, Harris etc... dined and some slept. Continual rain, hay in bad way. Hope Mrs Robinson's good opinion of her mare confirmed. Is it Mr Batt's mother reported dead?
