Received Mr. Hawkins [?Sawkins] account, Henry Ley sending remittance. Mr. Hatsell called to Town making Ley's presence there unnecessary, missed prorogation on 3rd instant. Lord Auckland probably to be Secretary of State. Hope Devonshire air helps his gout. Thinking of paying his respects to them at Saltram.
