    Informed at Bluitt's (now Ringrose's Inn) that Lord Malmesbury left York last Friday before F. Robinson's letter reached Clifton. Two dozen wax candles to be sent by Handley's Stage Waggon to Thirsk on Tuesday. Mr. Gray's letter on Transfer between Mrs. Peirse & Mr. Thornhill to be sent. Copy of account for Chancery for approval. Farm at Worton let to Terry & Brown long before Mr. Dunn's application on behalf of Mr. Bywell. Doesn't know the man but knows he is poor and was turned off Farm near Middleham belonging to Lawyer Chaytor. Arrangements for receipt of rents at Bainbridge & Aldfield. William Bayldon mentioned.
