Lessee's name is Wood, living near Richmond. Ellis hadn't opportunity of paying 0. 2s. 4d. For one years modus for tithe hay of Worton lands due Michaelmas last, left it with Mr. Brown to give him but he refused to sign Receipt. Has heard nothing of Tithes of Aldfield. Pris: Storzaker expected to die. Maidservants told Ellis she had prepared a house in Ripon for Spring if she lives long enough. Her kinsman William Collier is a sloven, farm shows it. Notes paid [and figures given] of Elizabeth Smith, George Snodon/Snowdon, Jo Turkington, J. Stead, Mrs. Smith, Mary Milner, Thomas Cundall the Painter, (delivered note to Belwood in great distress) and William Redgrave. Account in debit. Venison for the Ladies at Christmas.
