From Richard Beckwith, Ripon to Frederick Robinson: Mr. Bell has been elected Mayor of Corporation of Ripon. Frederick’s reasons for declining the Office have been conveyed. Mrs. Allanson wrote of Robinson's impending arrival at Ripon at the time of the rumoured Dissolution of Parliament. Beckwith would have been happy to obey instructions should Frederick actually arrive.
