- devises his Manor of Basmy with appurtenances in Eaton Socon and Great Stoughton (county Hertford) to John Goodman of Watford (county Hertford), clerk and Robert Beverley of Bedford, esquire, in trust for sale and payment of legacies to Judith Owen (wife of - Owen of London, haberdasher), and Elizabeth and Mary Bagshawe (3 daughters of uncle John Bagshawe deceased). (Also bequeaths £10 to be spent on lands, and profits to go to aunt Mary Pomfret for life, and then to friend John Goodman; and other bequests to John Goodman, cousin Thomas Andrew of London, milliner, cousin Richard Odell of Cople, attorney, Elizabeth (2nd daughter of Dr Robert Chester, late Rector of Stevenage (county Hertford), uncle Richard Jephson of London, cousin Elizabeth Ibbot (wife of John Ibbot) of Southwark, chamber-fellows John Hall and Francis Bridge, cousin Robert Beverley, the Poor of Eaton Socon, Trinity College, Cambridge, Thomas Templar (son of tutor John Templar of Balsham, clerk), aunt Ann Bird, kinsman George Hyer of Steeple Bumstead (county Essex), clerk, Sarah Christmas (wife of John Christmas of London, dyer), Stephen Roborough, clerk, Thomas Andrew, Elizabeth Odell (wife of Richard Odell), Ann Andrew (daughter of uncle), John, Jane and Ann Weddall (children of aunt Weddall and William Weddall), William Andrew (son of cousin W Andrew of Colesden Grange in Roxton), Bridget, Elizabeth, Jane & Ann Goodman (daughters of John Goodman) and to William Frizby)
