  • Scope and Content
Acknowledges letter of 27 February enclosing those of Duke of Losada. Offers services at Naples, any information required etc... Glad Waddilove accompanying [Tom] Pelham to South of Spain. Doesn't envy them, although transportation by Fortunatus’ Cap to Seville, Cordova or Granada would be useful as he missed some things when he was there. Hopes to hear of Pelham's arrival in Italy. Saw his travelling plan in Grantham's letter. Obliged to Mrs. Crathorne for mentioning him to Mr. Worsley. Unnecessary and has written to her "acquainting her with the kind Reception we met with at Aranjuez". Will write occasionally as requested. Lord Granby's brother, who is in Navy, is in Toulouse. His sister Lady Tyrconnel has recently run off with Mr. Charles Smith Lorraine/Loraine Smith. Her husband refuses a divorce to prevent her marrying her paramour. Experienced four disagreeable days of Vent d'Autan, the Scirocco. Leaving Toulouse for Marseilles on Monday. Sir Thomas and Mrs. Swinburne send respects.
