- Scope and Contenta) Edmund Nash says that, being informed by William Edward Slumbers of Taylor's Buildings, St Martin's Lane (county Middlesex), confectioner (who on death of his brother Robert is entitled to the moiety of an estate in Hawnes) that said Robert Slumbers was bred at Christ Church Hospital, London, and bound apprentice for 7 years to said Jonathan Fryer, he found the information correct and that Robert Slumbers was apprenticed before 1783, at which date Jonathan Fryer received a gratuity from the Governors of Christ Church Hospital b) Jonathan Fryer confirms the aforesaid information, and adds that Robert Slumbers was apprenticed about 1779 and died in West Indies
