    i) John Warner of Ampthill, mercer and wife Ann ii) Elizabeth (22 years 8 months) and Ann Warner (14 years), spinsters (infants, the only 2 surviving children of John Warner and wife Ann) iii) Amy Haslewood of Eltham (county Kent), widow John Stillingfleet of Castle Yard, London, gentleman John Forster of the same, gentleman William Westbrook of St Andrew's, Holborn, goldsmith iv) Robert Abbott of Steppingley Park, esquire v) Moses Amyrant of the Inner Temple, esquire [recites: A) Lease and Release dated 28, 29 May 1701: Toyer Forster of Whitlesey (Isle of Ely and county Cambridgeshire), gentleman, to said Ann Warner senior (then Ann Cunningham of St Margaret's, Westminster, widow); for £600 … Certain lands in Whitlesey (to be void on payment of £636, by Toyer Forster. Also Toyer Forster, Robert Apreece senior and Robert Apreece junior of Washingley (county Huntingdonshire), esquires, bound in £1,200 to said Ann Cunningham, for payment of said £636). B) Codicil dated 26 July 1698, to Will of Michael Edwards of Kingston (county Surrey), esquire, whereby he bequeathed £400 to said Ann Cunningham; proved by his executor William Fashion of London, scrivener. C) Bond in £200 for payment of £100; dated 22 February 1701/2: Gilbert Parshmore of Putney (county Surrey), gentleman, to Ann Cunningham. D) Marriage Settlement (Lease and Release): i) Ann Cunningham (widow and executrix of Edward Cunningham of London, drugster; ii) the said John Warner then of St Margaret's, Westminster; iii) Francis Brace of Bedford, gentleman John Forster of Bernard's Inn, London, gentleman. On the marriage of i) and ii). By which Ann Cunningham assigned the said £636, £400 and £100 to iii), in trust that £500 be set apart for James and Ann Cunningham junior (children of Ann Cunningham by Edward Cunningham), in the purchase of lands; and the remainder to be used for purchase of lands in trust for Ann Cunningham until said marriage took place, and then in trust for said John Warner to take rents for life, and then to said Ann for life, and to their issue male and female, and for want of issue, to the heirs and assigns of the survivor of said John Warner and Ann Cunningham. E) Deed Poll [endorsed on D)]; dated 1 March 1704/5: whereby said Francis Brace released and confirmed said sums and all lands in Whittlesey, to said John Forster. F) Death of Ann Cunningham junior, infant and unmarried. G) That John Forster received the £600 and interest, but that Parchmore's Bond was delivered to John Warner without the privity of John Forster. H) Decree in Chancery dated 28 January 1708/9, that William Fashion was to pay the legacy of £400 from the personal estate and rents or real estate of Michael Edwards; and that William Fashion died, leaving his eldest son Lawrence as executor, before the Report of the Master of the Court of Chancery was made. I) Report of said Master liquidating the complainant's demands for principal and interest with costs to £885, which might be paid out of the real estate of Michael Edwards; and consent of Sir James Edwards that the money should be paid out of the purchase-money to be paid by Sir Lambert Blackwell for the part of Michael Edwards's estate which lay in Norfolk, but the purchase was not completed. J) Will of James Cunningham junior dated 17 June 1719, whereby he bequeathed his personal estate to Maurice Abbot of Steppingley Park, esquire, in trust for purposes therein mentioned, who proved the Will. K) Will of Maurice Abbot [no date] proved by his executor Robert Abbot [party hereto]. L) that Sir Lambert Butler [? Blackwell] was one of the directors of the South Sea Company in 1720, and by an Act of 7 George I his and the estate of other directors was vested in Trustees to be sold. Therefore John Forster was obliged to exhibit a Bill in Chancery against the said Trustees and Sir James Edwards (on behalf of John Warner and wife Ann), for satisfaction for the said £885 and interest, which was paid up by the sum of £1,302..13s .6d, for which the said John Forster has accounted to John Warner and wife Ann. M) Deed dated 22 February 1703/4, and Fine of Trinity term 1704, by which John Warner and wife Ann conveyed to Benjamin Grevill of London, cheesemonger:- [the messuage in Ampthill, as in X520/186]; and Assignment of even date to John Forster, in trust for Benjamin Grevill, (to hold for residue of term of 1,000 years, raised from said premises by Deed dated 27 January 1687/8, and thereby granted to John Richardson and security for £149..10s, and by mesne Assignments became vested in Samuel Richardson, in trust for John Warner and wife Ann. All the estates vested in Benjamin Grevill and John Forster were to be redeemed by John Warner by payment of £159, and the principal (£150) was not paid. N) Lease and Release dated 21, 22 August 1716: i) Elizabeth Grevill of Trittenden (county Kent), spinster (executrix and devisee of Benjamin Grevill); ii) John Forster; iii) Samuel Bury of London, merchant, Timothy Chibsey of London, ironmonger and wife Martha (a daughter of Francis Grevill of London, goldsmith, deceased); iv) the said Amy Haslewood; v) the said John Stillingfleet; (itself reciting that Elizabeth Grevill became entitled to the premises mortgaged to Benjamin Grevill [in M)] by Deed dated 29 June 1709 of: i) Hester Grevill of London, widow; ii) said Elizabeth Grevill; iii) Walter, Francis, Hester and Martha Grevill (infant children of Francis Grevill); iv) the said Samuel Bury and John Forster); whereby ii) conveyed to iv) the said premises, in trust for herself and iii); whereby in consideration of £150 paid by Amy Haslewood to Timothy Chibsey in part of the portion of his wife, Samuel Bury, John Forster and Timothy Chibsey, by direction of Hester Grevill and Elizabeth Grevill assign the said premises to Amy Haslewood, to hold for the residue of the term of 1,000 years, and the said Elizabeth Grevill conveyed the said premises to John Stillingfleet, to hold in trust for Amy Haslewood, and subject to the equity of redemption of John Warner. O) X520/186. And that the said £150 was never paid to Amy Haslewood, nor the £250 [see X520/186] to William Westbrook. (in consideration of £150 paid by John Forster to Amy Haslewood and 5s (Moses Amyrant), £250 (John Forster), and 5s each to John Stillingfleet and William Westbrook by Robert Abbott). … the said messuage in Ampthill, between the messuage now of John Hill on West, and of Joseph Barber (son of Joseph Barber) on North. (To hold to Robert Abbott, in trust for Ann Warner to receive rents (without interference from her husband) during natural life, and that Robert Abbott and Ann Warner shall have power during life of Ann Warner senior to "lett leases in possession but not in reversion" for a term not exceeding 21 years; and after decease of Ann Warner senior, to suffer John Warner to receive rents during natural life; and after decease, one moiety to use of said Elizabeth Warner and heirs of body to be begotten, and for want of issue to Ann Warner junior and heirs etc., and for want of issue, to John Warner and heirs and assigns for ever; and the other moiety to use of Ann Warner junior and heirs etc., then to Elizabeth Warner and then to John Warner). (And Amy Haslewood assigns the remainder of the term of 1,000 years to Moses Amyrant). And also the said property in Wilshamstead [see X520/186]; (hereby assigned by William Westbrook to Robert Abbott, to hold for remainder of 50 year term, in trust to permit Ann Warner senior to receive rents for life, and after her death John Warner similarly; and then to assign the residue of the term, one moiety to Elizabeth Warner and the other to Ann Warner junior; and if either should die unmarried during life of Ann Warner senior, then whole to be assigned to survivor), [also Covenants concerning possession] Witnesses: William Butcher, John Quaitt; George Newell, John Meackham, William Butcher, Charles Rossell; and George Woorall, Edward Hales, and Ann Jackson [endorsed: "Copy of a copy"; 15 folios]
