    (Bequests (many for mourning) to: the poor of Cardington £10; his mother Dame Elizabeth Blundell £10; sisters Granger and Blundell £10 each; father-in-law William Naylour and his son Richard Naylour £10 each; to Mrs Sandys a piece of gold; to his wife £20; and to his children £5 each. Ratifies all settlements made on his wife. And gives guardianship of his children to wife unless she remarry, and in that case to William and Richard Naylour and mother Dame Elizabeth) … Devises, after the death of his mother (on whom all his freehold estate is settled in jointure) to the said guardians, in trust to pay for maintenance of eldest son George, £20 yearly until he is 16, and £30 until he is 21, and then to dispose of residue of rents for benefit of said George. To his wife and the said guardians, his Rectory of Cardington (leased from Trinity College, Cambridge), charged with payment of maintenance of son George until the land in jointure shall descend to him, and £15 each for maintenance of younger sons until they are 12, and then £20 yearly until 21, and £15 each for daughters until 12, £20 until 16, and £25 until their portions are payable, viz: £600 for daughter Sarah, £600 for daughter Elizabeth, and £600 for son Francis, and all other children; and in case of death of eldest son the portions of said daughters to be raised by £100. On payment of all portions etc., the said Rectory is to be assigned to his eldest son; and in case of death of all sons, the Rectory and freehold estate to be divided amongst his daughters as tenants in common.
