Account of a Bill introduced into Congress to enable Americans to import all goods from England ordered and contracted for before February 2nd. Also to allow the import of coarse woollens and iron ware for the use of the Indians. It is said, which writer does not believe, that this Bill was passed to enable Americans to avoid loss.
