Translation: Sir, I have not delayed in presenting to Milord Rochford the letter which you gave me for His Excellency, and I am charged in reply to assure you that Milord having already begged the Spanish Minister to write to the Marquis de Grimaldi on your behalf and having himself written to Milord Grantham on the same subject, you can present yourself on your arrival in Madrid, to each of these noblemen using the name of Milord who will be delighted to learn that his good offices will have contributed to the accomplishment of your desires, which is what he sincerely hopes, and it is with much pleasure that I take this opportunity to thank you very humbly for the honour of your remembrance, and to assure you that I am very sensible of it, and with great respect Sir, I am your very humble and very obedient servant, L Porten.
