    i) Sir John Every and wife Dorothy (late Dorothy Meynell) ii) John Curzon, Littleton Meynell iii) John Fitzherbert, John Beresford and Brook Boothby (in pursuance of a Marriage Agreement [X520/119]) … a farm in Chappell End in Houghton Conquest, in occupation of Henry Pearce; Home Close and Meadow Close (15 acres); 2 closes called the Ploughed Closes (26 acres); a close called the Long Pightle (12 acres); a close of pasture called the Great ground (40 acres); a close called Eighteen Acres (18 acres); a pightle of pasture with Grange Wood (together 9 acres); and 15 acres dispersed in the open fields of Houghton Conquest, viz: 5 acres in Mill Field, 5 acres in Chappell End Field, and 5 acres in Dean Field; all in Houghton Conquest in occupation of Henry Pearce; and also several closes of pasture called Goss Close, the Square Pightle and Highfield, with the spinney thereto belonging (together 48 acres), in occupation of Jeoffrey Redman. (To hold to John Curzon, John Fitzherbert and John Beresford, to the use of Sir John Every and his assigns during his natural life; and then to use of John Curzon and Littleton Meynell and their heirs during the life of said Sir John Every in trust to preserve the uses hereinafter limited from being destroyed:- after decease of Sir John Every, to use of wife Dorothy and her assigns towards increase of her jointure, and after the decease of said Dorothy, to John Curzon, Littleton Meynell and John Beresford for 1,000 years, in trust for raising portions and maintenance of the daughters and younger son and sons of Sir John Every and Dorothy; and on determination of that estate, to said John Fitzherbert and Brook Boothby for 1,100 years in trust to raise portions for the daughters of Sir John Every and Dorothy, in case of no issue male; and then to use of the survivor of the said Sir John Every and wife Dorothy and to their heirs and assigns for ever) [2 membranes] Witnesses: W Fitzherbert, Samuel Allen and William Pick
