Grantham should get visit to Studley over before Fritz & Tom arrive. Mrs. Allanson may not want so much company at once. Case and letters for M. de Ramel and Cardinal Valenti taken care of. Glad Frederick [nephew], goes without his Cap & that his carrots curl. Sorry about coolness between Thompsons & Weddells [Election]. Lord Boringdon's horse, Ascott, won Cup at Exeter. Cup damaged in transit. Jack [Parker] well at Hammersmith. Rising of Parliament coincides with his holydays. Mr. Ley will carry him down. Dined at Lady Robinson's with Mrs. Eliza Stainforth & Mrs. Margaret Thornhill. Lady Robinson's cough better. Lord Hardwick in Town, indifferent & restless. Suffering from tiraillement des Nerfs, may resume Asses milk at Newby. Tom Smith may enquire about a Jenny Ass. House of Commons up in three weeks.
