And also an annual or fee farm rent of £11..11s 1d issuing out of and for divers rents within the Hundred of Wixamtree, lately paid by Sir Oliver Boteler, baronet. And also an annual or fee farm rent of £17 issuing out of the water mill of Biggleswade, lately payable by John Yarley. And also an annual or fee farm rent of £12..4s..8d issuing out of and for the Town of Bedford, lately payable by the Mayor and Burgesses. And also an annual or fee farm rent of £13..16s..7d issuing out of the Grange of Houghton Conquest, payable by the Lady Conquest and Matthew Denton. And also an annual or fee farm rent of £8..15s..1d issuing out of the Manor of Damelingsbury in Houghton Conquest, lately payable by Robert, Earl of Aylesbury. And also an annual or fee farm rent of £15..9s..7 issuing out of and for the Hundred of Flitt, lately payable by the Sheriff of the County. And also an annual or fee farm rent of £21..14s issuing out of the demesne lands of the Manor of Biggleswade, lately payable by John Busse and others. And all other property and rents in the said parishes etc. (described in a Release, dated 28 April 1711: i) Grace Lady Carteret and John Lord Carteret and wife Frances; ii) Thomas, Lord Weymouth and Charles Worsley, esquire; iii) Sir William Wyndham, baronet, and Henry Worsley, esquire; iv) James Tooker and Robert Wise, gentlemen; v) Sir Robert Worsley, baronet and Sir Robert Atkins, knight; vi) John, Lord Gower and George Grenville, esquire). Also Wilshamstead Wood (121¾ acres), and 3 closes nearby called Wood Closes (45½ acres), late in occupation of William Hillersden, and late of John, Lord Carteret and Thomas Costin. And Meadow Close, Town Close, and Home Close with the house thereon, in Wilshamstead, containing together 35 acres, late in occupation of John Crick, William Crane and widow Cox. Also the further part of Monks Field lying at the bottom of St Makes Hill in Wilshamstead, containing 18 acres, late in occupation of George Cannon, and another close (part of Monks Field) containing 13 acres, formerly in occupation of Richard Cawne, and late of Benjamin Farr. Loaders Pightle (4 acres); an inclosed field called Hill Field (19 acres); a sheep walk called Sand Hill (8 acres); inclosed ground called Wood Field (6½ acres), Short Field (5 acres), Middle Field (10 acres); and Helders Close and Helders Pightle containing together 16½ acres; all in Wilshamstead, late in occupation of William Denham (on part of which a farmhouse formerly stood). (All which property in Wilshamstead were conveyed by a Release dated 23 May 1718: i) John Lord Carteret and wife Frances; ii) Sir William Wyndham and Henry Worsley; iii) Sir Robert Worsley; and iv) John Lord Gower and George Lord Lansdown). And also Wilstead Manor and Farm with appurtenances in Wilshamstead, late in occupation of Joseph Denham (at a yearly rent of £80); (which manor was purchased by John Lord Carteret from the heirs of --- Beadles for £1,700, and was conveyed by a Release dated 4 July 1732: i) John Lord Carteret and wife Frances; ii) Sir William Wyndham and Henry Worsley; and iii) Sir Robert Worsley). All which properties and rents are now in occupation of Robert, Earl Granville, Ann Dunham, William Dunham, Joseph Garrett, Ralph How, Samuel Pryer, William Holmes, John Dunham, Thomas Farr, Edward Horn, John Young, Tristram King, Benjamin Willmar, Robert Bass, Henry Fleming, Thomas Worker and Richard Desborough Witnesses: John Fleming, Edward Cooch junior, Robert Parker, W Plumer Windus and W Lawson [4 membranes]
