    No news of Lord Chatham & Mr. Conway. Dined at Stratton St. thence to Opera. Ball at Miss Naths, not asked as couldn't dance. Dined at Mr. Parker's with Mr. Bamfylde, Mr. Goddard & Mr. Mayne. Parker's acquaintances at Lisbon. Mr. Mayne is Lord Newhaven's brother. Almodobars in evening. Grand breakfast at Hendon, began at 2 p.m. Tea, coffee, curds, fruit, ices etc... Mrs. Aislabie asked for card to be sent to Spanish Embassador, Embassadress & nieces. Marques de Torre not there, would have offended rest of his countrymen to invite just him. Tom Pelham stuck in mud at Shoreham. Middleton's returning to Pepper Harrow. Children's pictures [Jack & Theresa Parker]; one more sitting before finished. Sir Joshua recovered enough to paint the King who will be in Coronation Robes, sitting. Jersey; no news yet. Called at one of the other exhibitions; hash. Parliament thought to sit in June. Mr. Parker in town until then. Almodobar's scheme to pay Grantham by his Agent in Madrid & reciprocal arrangement for him in England. Fritz declined offer, supposes exchange against Almodobar.
